How much does it cost?
Depending on the size of the project and the amount of time the design takes, custom handmade tile typically starts at $75 sq. ft. (not including installation costs). If you decide you want to move forward with a project plan, there is a fee for the design time. If you continue with the project, that fee will be deducted from your overall project cost. A deposit is required to start a project and the balance is due when the project is complete. Depending on your budget and ideas, installations can include a mix of handmade and commercial tile (or other materials) or exclusively handmade tile. How long does it take?
Custom projects are designed and made to order. Depending on the size of the project and current work load, the turnaround can be from 2 weeks to several months.
Can tile be shipped?
Packing a project for shipping in hopes that someone else can easily unpack and reassemble it sounds tricky, but it's really not. I pass along my template, a 'map' with instructions, photos and whatever is needed.
Tile ships well!
Before Covid I would often travel to assist with prepping the project or participate in the installation. Hopefully that will be an option again in the near future!
